How to install DLL files

The following steps are used for the operating systems Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista and XP, both 32-bit and 64-bit. All steps are MANUAL and they would cause further damage to your system, so before you do it, please back up your Windows Registry. For a free registry backup, please use our recommended DLL fixer.

Step 1: Save the DLL file to its default location.

    For 32-bit DLL files on 32-bit OS and 64-bit DLL files on 64-bit OS:
  • C:\Windows\System32\
    For 32-bit DLL files on 64-bit OS:
  • C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
Restart your computer.

Note: If you don't know where to download your DLL files, please use our recommended DLL fixer to get your DLL files for free.

Step 2: Open CMD command.

  • Click your Windows Start, type cmd and press Enter.

Step 3: Re-register DLL files.

    For 32-bit DLL files on 32-bit OS and 64-bit DLL files on 64-bit OS:
  • Type regsvr32 filename and press Enter in CMD command.
    For 32-bit DLL files on 64-bit OS:
  • Type cd c:\windows\syswow64\ and press Enter in CMD command.
  • Type regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\filename and press Enter.
Restart your computer.
